The child

A few days ago as I was sitting and looking through the window, I saw two brothers walking with their mother. One of them was barely two years old. He was walking in the peculiar way children use at that age.
He was picking up stones at every step he took, and then was throwing them in the grass. And each time he seemed so amazed that the stone would fly out of his hand when he threw it.

His mother tried in vain to dissuade him from gathering dirty stones and throwing them. But of course the little child in his bubbling wisdom didn't obey.
It made me so smile!
Children have something to teach us, something precious we lose as we grow up. Is it good, is it bad?
I am willing to learn again.
